L’OREAL SKIN INK REVIEW

This L’Oréal Skin Ink is a 2 in 1 foundation and concealer hybrid that is apparently sweat proof, transfer resistant and lasts 48 hours. I will be testing this today  under my eyes as a concealer. I’ve seen this product all over TikTok with great reviews so I had to try it. I’m very fussy when it comes to concealers and even though I have my favourite it always intrigues me when a new concealer comes out. I chose shade neutral 20 which is the second lightest shade.

The packing is a metallic red and the wand is very large. It says to shake the concealer for ten seconds before use.

Immediately when applying it feels almost greasy. You know when you don’t shake up a product enough and the oily water comes out first? It felt like that texture. I shook it another 20 seconds just to be sure and it felt exactly the same on the other under eye. The colour is a lot darker than I anticipated it has a very yellow undertone.

I really did not like the finish of this concealer so I removed and tried again. I thought potentially it could have reacted to my eye cream and it maybe needed to be shaken longer than instructed. So I removed and tried again shaking for longer before use. The finish did not look any better.

This concealer offers barely any coverage, sets very quickly before you have time to buff it out and dries incredibly patchy. The concealer looks very matte under the eyes and is honestly the worst concealer I have ever used.

I felt like this concealer had no hope to be salvaged so I removed it for the second time and did not continue with this review. This concealer was very disappointing as I had seen so many positive things online and it’s literally the worst concealer I have ever used. While it does say a foundation and concealer hybrid I’m not even tempted to try it as a foundation as the size of product seems ridiculous to use as a foundation. The finish it gave my under eyes isn’t something I really desire for my complexion so I will no longer be using this product and unfortunately it will be disposed.
