Hello everyone this section is all about products that I love and continue to repurchase for myself or for my professional make-up kit. These items are all 9 stars and above that I would 100% recommend and are worth the price tag.

First up…
ESTEE LAUDER – DOUBLE WEAR STAY-IN-PLACE MAKEUP
I have used this foundation for over 15 years it was one of the first high end foundations I ever used and I have continued to go back to this product even after trying many others. This is the best long wear full coverage foundation in my opinion!
PROS
– Long wear. This foundation lasts ALL day. Sweat proof, tear proof and ultra long wear this makes the perfect foundation for brides or anyone wanting a foundation to not budge!
– Full coverage. The coverage can be determined depending on the tools used to apply this foundation but if you’re wanting the fullest coverage possible this foundation can deliver.
– Amazing shade range. With up to 60 shades including different undertones there will be a shade perfect for everyone!
– Price point. Even though this foundation does retail at over £39 I do believe it is worth every penny. The amount of product you need compared to any other foundation is minimal, a little goes a long way!
CONS
– Flash back can be an issue when using this foundation. This is when a picture is taken using flash it can cause the skin the appear lighter on camera. I find using a setting powder with no flash back can help resolve this issue.
– Glass bottle. As luxurious as a glass bottle does feel it can be risky taking this away on holiday or accidentally dropping the product can be a problem. It also does not come with a pump which doesn’t actually bother me but for anyone that does prefer a pump foundation they can be purchased separately from Estee Lauder.
HOW TO USE
I personally prefer to use a sponge with this foundation. For a lighter coverage I like to use a damp sponge and for a more full coverage a dry sponge. I find using a brush can make the foundation sit on top of the skin and look too heavy where as a sponge creates a more natural looking finish.

TARTE – SHAPE TAPE CONTOUR CONCEALER
When I say I have tried a lot of concealers I have tried A LOT of concealers! I found after I hit my early twenties no concealer would sit right under my eyes. They seemed to emphasise texture I didn’t even know I had and creased after a few hours of wear. This spurred me on to find a concealer that offered a good coverage, didn’t accentuate fine lines and lasted all day. That’s when I found this little gem and I have been using it ever since.
PROS
– Full coverage. A little goes a long way!
– Long lasting. I don’t believe any concealer is completely crease proof but this product is as close as I think you can get. It lasts all day when correctly applied.
– Good shade range. With up to 36 shades including different undertones there will be a shade for everyone.
CONS
– My only complaint about this product is the packaging. I have to store my concealer upright as unfortunately when the bottle lies flat the product does slightly leak out of the lid. Also the lid pattern scratches off over time.
HOW TO USE
– If using under the eyes you have to be mindful that applying too much product on such thin delicate skin will cause the product to crease. To avoid creasing apply a small amount of the concealer only in the area needing coverage. (For most people it will be the inner corners of eyes) I like to use a fluffy eyeshadow brush and buff using circular motion under the eyes.
Setting the concealer is an important part of avoiding creases and making sure your concealer lasts all day. Yes powder can emphasise texture and dry out the skin so it’s important to not use too much! I advise using a triangular powder puff dipped into some setting powder, tap off the excess product on the back of your hand and then press the puff under the eyes where you applied the concealer.

AVON – PREP & SET SPRAY
This is recent find of mine and I’m so glad I tried this product because I was so very pleasantly surprised. I use this on myself and all of my clients to keep their make up lasting all day and night!
PROS
– Amazing value. I have tried a lot of setting sprays and the last one that I was using religiously was at least 3 times the price of this one! For the price you can absolutely not go wrong with this spray.
– Controls oil. Whether you use this as a primer or setting spray or both! This spray really controls oiliness and prevents it from disturbing your make up.
– Makes your make-up last. This spray enhances the longevity of any products used on the skin.
CONS
– The spray does distribute a little too much product for my liking. I find the spray can saturate the face and hair so I prefer to empty the product into a different spray bottle because of this.
– Can make the face feel a little tight. I personally don’t mind the feeling of wearing make up but I know a lot of people do so when using this spray bear in mind you can feel there is something on your face.
HOW TO USE
– This spray doubles as a primer and a setting spray which means for ultimate longevity you can spray your face before you apply make-up and then end with a spray once your make-up is complete. As I mentioned in the ‘cons’ section the spray bottle is a little too harsh so make sure you hold the bottle arms length away from your face or decanter into a preferred bottle. A good tip to cover the whole face using the correct amount of product is to spray with your eyes closed in a T shape and then a X shape.

MAYBELLINE – LASH SENSATIONAL FULL FAN EFFECT
This is my absolute favourite mascara. I have tried most high end and other drug store mascaras and I always come back to this one!
PROS
– Lengthens and volumises. I like to apply 3-4 coats of this mascara for the best appearance.
– Affordable. This mascara retails under £10 and is available in most cosmetic stores including supermarkets so it’s very easy to find.
– Layers well. A lot of mascaras you can only really apply one coat otherwise they start to clump and the dreaded spider lashes make an appearance. This mascara layers beautifully with no clumps.
– Nice wand. I find the majority of mascaras wands are too large but this Maybelline mascara has the perfect size wand and the spoon shape makes it super easy to use. I always prefer a synthetic brush like this instead of a bristle brush to minimise clumping.
CONS
– Absolutely no cons for me on this one which makes it a perfect score!
HOW TO USE
Wiggle the wand into the base of your lashes and brush upwards to the ends of your lashes. Wait a few minutes to add a second coat and repeat if desired up to 4 coats. For bottom lashes hold brush vertically and move wand side to side.

Last but not least of my favourite products…
AVON – ULTRA CREAMY LIPSTICK SHADE CARNATION
This is my go to lipstick I wear every single day. I absolutely love the shade ‘Carnation’ which is a perfect pinky nude colour. The texture is creamy and moisturising and very well pigmented.
PROS
– ‘Carnation’ is a perfect pink nude for fair to light skin tones.
– After applying Avon ultra creamy lipstick on the lips it felt very creamy and comfortable. Other branded lipsticks can dry down matte and feel drying on the lips however Avon Ultra Creamy lipstick feels moisturising even after a few hours wear.
– The packaging feels pretty luxurious. It reminds me a little of the Dior lipstick packaging.
– Very affordable. Retailing at just £6!
CONS
– I have tried a couple of the other shades and they did not look the same as they do online. ‘Pout’ was a frosty finish which I didn’t like and ‘Blush nude’ was extremely pale. Both shades look pretty on the website but look very different in person.
