BEAUTY BAY BLUSHER REVIEW
By Beauty Bay Powder Blusher

I’ve tried a few beauty bay products in the past and have been really impressed with my purchases so I decided to try the Beauty Bay Blushers. Retailing at just £8 which is an absolute bargain I wanted to see whether the formula was any good.
I purchased 6 of the Beauty Bay Blushers. 3 of which I will be wearing in this review. I decided to showcase 2 matte shades and one shimmer. I am also wearing the highlighter by Beauty Bay in shade ‘Beam’ in every picture above the blusher.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS…
The packaging is nice and slim. This is a great selling point for me, being a make-up artist carrying bulky products can be difficult to slot into my kit so these are perfect to stack. The product weighs in at 6.5g which surprised me as most high end blushers tend to have the same amount of product.
The first blusher I tested was shade ‘Bitten’ this is normally the shade of blusher I would choose for myself. ‘Bitten’ is a matte dusty rose colour and I was pleasantly surprised how pigmented the blusher was. I loved how this shade tied in with my lip colour.

The next shade I have used is ‘Blossom’ which is a pink with a golden shimmer. For me personally the colour for me was a little too bright and I do prefer a matte blusher rather than shimmery. Blossom did apply nicely and I think it would look great on a slightly darker skin tone so I will definitely use this in my professional kit but not on myself.

The final shade I tried was ‘Peachy’ this one surprised me the most. I don’t tend to use warmer shades of blusher as I am cool toned but this actually turned out to be my favourite one! The colour diffused lovely into my skin and I would definitely repurchase this colour.

PROS
– Amazing value. My usual blushers (Mac) retail at a whopping £28! For £20 less I think the Beauty Bay blushers are brilliant value for money.
– Slim packaging. A lot of blushers are so unnecessarily bulky which I hate. These are easy to stack and don’t take up much room in your make up bag.
– Good pigment. This product didn’t need layering the first brush stroke had so much product I didn’t need to build up the product at all.
– Beauty Bay have what they call ‘Vault’ where you can buy a few shades for a discounted price. They also have duo sets where you can get a powder and cream blusher or a blusher and bronzer for a special offer price. They make nice gifts or you can treat yourself to a set for a cheaper price.
CONS
– I would like to see more shades. Currently they have just 7 shades.
– Out of stock a lot. I did have to wait a few weeks for these to be restocked as they obviously sell out pretty fast. When I run low on a product I do like to be able to replenish quickly.
LUCYS RATING – 9 / 10
