TONY MOLY GEL EYELINER REVIEW
Korean skincare and make-up is really hitting the beauty world by storm and I’ve seen a lot of backstage artists using this Tony Moly gel eyeliner so I had to try it out. While I do love the Inglot Gel Eyeliner I wanted to try something new! I had to wait nearly a month to receive this item so I’m hoping it’s worth the wait.
First impressions. The item didn’t come with any outer packaging only the Amazon box. The Tony Moly Backstage Gel Eyeliner product packaging comes with a brush that you pull out and the gel is screwed at the bottom. Personally I probably wouldn’t use the brush that comes with it as it’s not thin enough to do precise eyeliner.
To test this product I am going to apply both an eyeliner flick and add in the waterline too. I am using a disposable eyeliner brush which is just a straight thin bristle brush. You can also use an angled brush but I just prefer to use a thinner longer brush.
First of all I am shocked at how much product is picked up with the brush. I dabbed VERY gently and a lot of product came onto the brush. This tells me the eyeliner is incredibly creamy and smooth. Some gel eyeliners you’ve really got to gouge the brush in to pick anything up!
When I tell you this eyeliner was the SMOOTHEST application I have ever experienced I am not kidding. This has to be the easiest and quickest winged eyeliner I have ever done. The eyeliner applied so effortlessly, no dragging of the eye and gave intense black pigment.
At this point my only concern is the longevity. When something applies this easily sometimes it smudges and doesn’t last. Let’s see how it wears! I applied this liner at 9am.
Now it’s not very often a make-up product REALLY impresses me. I have tried hundreds of make-up items and a lot of them are very samey and nothing to really shout about. Now this product I am absolutely blown away by!
It is now 7pm so I applied this eyeliner 10 hours ago and I have absolutely no smudges, cracks, feathering or fading. I didn’t apply anything over the top – no eyeshadow, setting powder or setting spray and it has lasted all day. What I’m even more impressed by is how well it lasted in my waterline. Most eyeliners smudge or completely disappear after a couple of hours wear in my waterline and this absolutely stood the test of time.
As much as I loved the Inglot gel eyeliner this Tony Moly product has totally won me over and will 1000% be going into my make-up kit. The only downside is the 3 week wait for delivery but I am very glad I ordered this item and I strongly advise to purchase this is you’re looking for a new gel eyeliner!
