WHATS IN MY HOLIDAY MAKE-UP BAG!

A lot of you may have already had your summer holiday this year however I’m away for two weeks in September so I thought I’d share all of my make up items I’ll be taking with me!

For the day time I still like to wear a tiny bit of make-up just to feel more confident. Anything too heavy will feel sticky in the heat so I just wear a few items on my face to make me feel a little more ‘me’. This look takes less than 5 minutes!

I always wear winged eyeliner and mascara on a day to day basis to enhance my eyes but for holiday I want to relax and not have to do this every morning!

For holidays I use cluster lashes applied under the lash line. I like to apply these the night before I go away. Using normal eyelash glue (Duo Lash) they last me between 3-5 days so perfect for a weekend getaway. Using a bond glue (Kiss Bond and Seal) they last around a week. My holiday is for two weeks so I will be using The bond and Seal glue to last longer.

When using Duo lash I apply the glue on the top of the false lash wait 30 seconds and then using tweezers or a false eyelash applicator I place the lash under my natural eyelashes. Be careful not to apply too far under as it will irritate the eyes. Once it’s in place I give it a little pinch with my fingers to secure and then move on to the next strip. I usually apply 2 long on the outer corner, 1-2 medium size in the middle and 1 short in the inner corner.

When I use Bond and Seal glue I apply the glue at the base of my natural lashes, apply the false lashes underneath, give them a little pinch and then apply the seal over the top to finish off.

I try to reuse the lashes after I remove them if possible. I just give them a little clean with eye make up remover and carefully remove any glue residue and then reapply next time.

When I start my morning make-up I first apply Cetaphil Mineral SPF 50 on my face and make sure I reapply throughout the day.

For brows I brush the NYX The Brow Glue shade Dark Brown through them to enhance them a little more.

I don’t personally like to wear any sort of foundation/BB/tint during the day as it just melts off in the heat but I do feel my under eyes look quite dark when wearing no concealer. I recently started using the Revolution Magic Eye Bright Corrector and I really love the effect it gives. It just brightens up the eye without looking like I’m wearing any make up. I apply a small amount with my finger and pat it in.

To bring a bit of colour to my face I buff some Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in my cheek bones and forehead.

Lastly I apply a lip tint. My favourite is the NYX lip I.V the colour I have is quite vibrant (Blush Rush) so I apply a small amount on to my bottom lip, rub my lips together and then blend over my lips using my finger.

And that’s my day time holiday make up. It literally takes me just five minutes!
