DIOR BACKSTAGE GLOW MAXIMIZER PALETTE REVIEW
Shade 001 Universal Glow

I’ve seen this palette all over TikTok in many make-up artists kits so I had to purchase to see if it’s worth the hype!
The Dior Backstage Maximizer Palette contains 4 different highlighter shades. The colours are perfect for wearing on the eyes and complimenting different skin tones – whether it be for a make-up artists kit or yourself when you change skin tone from winter to summer. The 001 palette is most popular with make-up artists due to the vast colour shade differences however they do other shade palettes more suitable for a personal palette. I will be testing all shades on myself and applying on my eyes as well as cheeks.
First impressions I like the packaging it feels very luxurious especially with the Dior logo embossed on every shade. At first glance my favourite shade is the second one along which is a champagne colour which I can see being very popular with my brides. The price is just under £50 which is quite steep however you do get 4 shades so around £12 a shade it’s not too bad if you use them all.
I applied MAC Paint Pot on my lids as a primer and then added the bright white shade in the inner corners of my eyes, the champagne on the lid and the darkest bronzy colour on the outer corners. On my cheeks I used the pink over the top of my blush and the champagne on the top of my cheek bones. The pigment was great, a little went a long way and it photographed really well. It has a fine glitter to it but doesn’t look chunky or overly sparkly. The glitter is more noticeable when I shone a light over my skin but in natural light it appears more subtle.

I can see why this palette is so popular, it is the perfect product to use on brides. I am quite surprised that the pink shade was actually my favourite as a highlighter, it seemed to appear more silvery on top of my blusher and really made my make-up pop more.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I really enjoyed using this palette and the fact that I use every single shade on myself means it’s extremely versatile and complimentary. I will definitely be adding this to my kit I just absolutely pray it doesn’t get smashed when I travel as it’s expensive to replace! If something smashes it is salvageable when it’s a singular colour but a palette of 4 different shades would mean unfortunately throwing away and that does scare me given the price tag!
