APRILS BLESSINGS!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted as things have been pretty hectic in the month of April! So many happy moments have taken place this month that I’d love to share with you all!
Starting off with my birthday. I celebrated my special day with loved ones and visited an American diner called ‘Billy Bobs’ we had a lovely meal out and it was perfect timing to also celebrate a phone call I received just before we left to head out.
The phone call was the estate agents letting us know that a property we had viewed a couple of days ago had accepted our offer! Me and my boyfriend were over the moon with this news as we have been looking for a perfect home for a few months now. We finally found one that suited us both and we are so excited to own our first home together!
The great news continued as a week later for mine and my boyfriends one year anniversary we booked to go away to Scotland. We booked a secluded cabin situated on a lake to enjoy some time alone with beautiful views. On the second day which was the date exactly one year since I met my boyfriend he proposed! I’ve wanted to get married for as long as I can remember so this was the best day of my life! He had bought me my dream ring that I had shown him on our first date (yes that may have put many men off but I was so clear on our first date what I wanted for my future and he took it in his stride!) he had written all of his words out in a card for me to read first so he didn’t get all muddled up with nerves and then went down on one knee. Of course I said yes and he managed to video the whole thing for us to remember. The birds were tweeting in the background and we were really lucky with the weather as it was dry and sunny even though it was initially predicted rain all weekend!
I had a strong feeling the proposal was on its way so I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a gift to remember this day too. I had purchased a watch for him a few weeks before and secretly packed it away in my suitcase for when the special time occurred. He was so shocked and it was a lovely moment so us to share as we both had a special gift from each other to take away from the holiday.
We enjoyed the rest of our break relaxing in the hot tub and taking pictures to remember our special few days away. We even managed to do a bit of sunbathing as the next day was really warm!
When we got home we were greeted with lovely cards, gifts and balloons from friends and family celebrating our special news.
Back to reality and now we’re starting the process of purchasing our first home. Our plan is to have a make up room for me in the spare bedroom to offer my clients the option to visit my home instead of me being fully mobile. Stay tuned for updates of our move and redecorating my work space!
